Today, Matthew and I ventured out of the house together for his first doctor's appointment. Matthew slept through most of the outing and I rolled with the flow...of pee on his outfit just before heading out the door (I changed his outfit)...to pee and poop on the table at the dr. office (he was naked so no outfit change needed). Yes, doc, the kid's plumbing is working fine. He is in the 97th percentile for height, 90th for weight, and 50th for head size. He goes back in 2 weeks for another check in. I was feeling so great about the outing that I did run one errand. It was a good day - sunny and 14 degrees outside, cozy in the car with Matthew, and the freedom of being out and about was refreshing. We did it!
Jeff, the girls and I have had fun getting to know our little guy. So far, we know he really likes to eat, suck on fingers when he's not eating, poop on mommy in the bathtub, and get lots of kisses from his dad and sisters. He likes the camera too; here are a few shots from his first week.
